Educational Qualification:
- For Practising Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors: Candidates Must possess a Degree in Law of a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission, or any other equivalent qualification and got enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu or in the Bar Council of any other State in India
- For Fresh Law Graduates: Candidates must be fresh Law Graduates possessing a degree in Law from a recognized University
Essential Qualification:
- For Practising Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors: Candidates must be practicing as an Advocate or Pleader in any Court on the date of Notification for recruitment to the post and must have so practiced for a period of not less than 3 years on such date.

► Candidate must be an Assistant Public Prosecutor having not less than 3 years of experience as an Advocate and/or Assistant Public Prosecutor - For Fresh Law Graduates: Candidates must be eligible to be enrolled as an Advocate.
► Must have secured an overall percentage of marks in acquiring the Bachelor’s Degree of Law.
► Must have obtained the Bachelor’s Degree in Law within a period of three years prior to the date of Notification.

Candidate should possess adequate knowledge to read, write and speak in English and Tamil.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected through Preliminary Exams, Main Exams, and Interviews.
Age Limit:
- For Practising Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors: The age of the candidates should be a minimum of 25 years to a maximum of 37 years as per 01 July 2023.
- For Fresh Law Graduates: The age of the candidates should be a minimum of 22 years to a maximum of 29 years as per 01 July 2023.

Age Relaxation (If Applicable):
Reserved candidates will get an age discount as per government rules.
- For SC / ST candidates: 5 years
- For OBC candidates: 3 years
- For PWBD candidates: 10 years
Application Fee:
GEN/OBC/EWS: The application fee of the candidates for this post has been fixed at Rs. 150/- + Rs. 100/- + Rs. 200/-.
SC/ST/PWD Candidates will not have to pay any application fee to apply for this post.

Salary:
The specified monthly salary for this post has been fixed between Rs. 27,700/- to Rs. 44,770/-.
