UPSC Recruitment 2023 Educational Qualification:
- Extension Officer: Candidate must be passed in Master Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Extension from a recognized university or institute or Master of Business Administration with Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a recognized university or institute or a Master’s Degree in Rural Management from a recognized university or institute or Master’s degree in Agricultural Business Management or Vegetable Sciences or Horticulture or Agro-Forestry or Degree in Agriculture Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
- Junior Scientific Officer (Biology): Candidate must be passed in Masters’s degree in Botany or Zoology or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Physical Anthropology or Genetics or Forensic Science with Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects during all 3 (three) years of a bachelor of Science level from a recognized University; OR B.E. or B. Tech in Biotechnology from a recognized University.
- Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry): Candidate must pass in Masters’s degree in Chemistry or Associateship diploma of the Institution of Chemist by examination* or Biochemistry or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects during all 3 (three) years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University.
- Investigator Grade-I: Candidate must be passed in Post Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a recognized University/ Institute or equivalent,
OR
► Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Commerce with one paper in Economics from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.
Experience:
- Extension Officer: The candidate must have 1 (one) year of experience in Agricultural Extension work in the Central or State Government or autonomous body or Public Sector Undertaking.
- Junior Scientific Officer (Biology): The candidate must have 3 (Three) years of experience in research and analytical work in the field of Biology in any central and state organization or recognized institute or university or forensic science laboratory under Central Government and State Government.
- Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry): The candidate must have Three years of experience in research and analytical work in the field of Chemistry in any central and state organization or recognized institute or university or forensic science laboratory under Central Government and State Government.
- Investigator Grade-I: Not Required
Desirable Qualification:
- Extension Officer: The candidate has 2 (Two) years of experience in the formulation and conduct of the Extension Training Programme.
- Junior Scientific Officer (Biology): The candidate has experience working in a Forensic Science Laboratory.
- Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry): The candidate has experience working in a forensic science laboratory.
- Investigator Grade-I: Not Required
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected through Interviews.
Age Limit:
- Extension Officer: The age of the candidates should be a maximum of 38 years or less.
- Junior Scientific Officer (Biology): The age of the candidates should be a maximum of 30 years or less.
- Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry): The age of the candidates should be a maximum of 30 years or less.
- Investigator Grade-I: The age of the candidates should be a maximum of 30 years or less.
Age Relaxation (If Applicable):
Reserved candidates will get an age discount as per government rules.
