Educational Qualification:

SI (Master): Candidate must be passed 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
SI (Engine Driver): Candidate must be passed 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
SI (Workshop): Candidate must be passed Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
OR
► 03 years diploma in Mechanical! Marine/Auto Mobile Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
HC (Master): Candidate must be passed Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent; and
HC (Engine Driver): Candidate must be passed Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent.
HC (Workshop): Candidate must be passed Matriculation from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Constable (Crew): Candidate must be passed matriculation from a recognized board equivalent.

Essential Qualification:

SI (Master): Candidate must have 2nd class master certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority! Mercantile Marine Department.
SI (Engine Driver): The candidate must have 1st class engine driver certificate issued by the Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority! Mercantile Marine Department.
HC (Master): Candidate must have Serang Certificate
HC (Engine Driver): The candidate must have Possessing rd class Engine Driver certificate.
HC (Workshop): ► Candidate must have ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Diploma in Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine) for HC (Workshop)-Mechanic (Diesel/ Petrol Engine) from a recognized Institution.
► Candidate must have ITI (Industrial Training Institute) Diploma in Machinist for ‘ HD (Workshop)-Machinist from a recognized Institution.
Constable (Crew): The candidate must have Should know swimming in deep water without any assistance.

Experience:

Constable (Crew): One year experience in the operation of a Boat below 256 HP.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected through written exams and trade tests.

Age Limit:

SI: The age of the candidates should be a minimum of 22 years to a maximum of 28 years.
HC: The age of the candidates should be a minimum of 20 years to a maximum of 25 years.
Constable: The age of the candidates should be a minimum of 20 years to a maximum of 25 years.

Age Relaxation (If Applicable):

Reserved candidates will get an age discount as per government rules.

For SC / ST candidates: 5 years
For OBC candidates: 3 years
For PWBD candidates: 10 years
